What Chemicals are Used in the Pressure-Treatment Process?
Commonly used chemicals in treated lumber products we supply include:
- Chromated copper arsenate (CCA). CCA-treated wood is a popular option for industrial and agricultural applications thanks to its superior anti-fungal, anti-pest, and fire-resistant properties.
- Micronized copper azole (MCA). MCA-treated wood is often used in residential applications, offering anti-pest, anti-fungal, and rot-resistant properties at lower toxicity levels compared to other wood preservatives.
